About the Event
This 5 week intermediate online creative writing course is jam packed full of prompts and tips that will develop your writing skills & creative flair. During the course we will explore a variety of techniques including a more in depth look at:
- Writing prompts
- Writing forms
- Sharing and performing your work
Course Dates: Mondays 6-8pm 22nd June - 20th July 2020
This is a free course offered through Scarborough TEC.
The course will take place via Microsoft Teams - you will receiver instructions on how to access the course once you have registered.
Course Leader: Hayley Green
Hayley Green is a writer and performer originally from Nottingham who has been running workshops and projects for varying audiences for over 6 years.
She is an ex-member of the Mouthy Poets, the UKs largest poetry collective, has performed alongside artists such as Caroline Bird, Lemn Sissay and John Agard, delivered numerous projects within schools and communities around the UK and Europe and performed in a veriety of theares inclusing the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.
She was the founder of Write Minds, an organisation working with young people affected by self-harm and suicidal ideation, using creativity as a form of release and support and is the founder and lead producer of Writing Proud – an LGBTQ writing network who run Write Pride – a writing festival celebrating LGBTQ writing from around the UK.
Hayley has taught poetry and creative writing in schools, colleges and community settings, including working with young people and adults.
